Summer might be on hold, but hasn't stopped the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events in the Pacific Northwest!

Though the start of summer is still a few days away, the weather around the Pacific Northwest isn't giving us much of a sunny weather preview.  But it doesn't matter much for Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy fans, as more events are happy to keep you inside theaters, conventions and other venues.  As this edition of the Weekly Update shows, it's shaping up to be a busy time for genre fans in the area!

Damn honey, looks like the weeding has to wait.
We have to get to that event we read about in the Weekly Update!

Recent updates you'll find below include a screening of Batman: The Movie next week in Portland, lots of comic swaps and toy sales, the Seattle Outdoor Cinema opening next weekend, a production of A Midsummer's Night Dream in Portland and, of course, lots of movies!

And be sure to check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, as Fathom Events and several local theaters are making this the Summer of Studio Ghibli.  Portland theaters are bringing back The Fifth Element later in the month.  And I'm working to list the outdoor theater offerings around the Northwest, so keep checking back for more details as I find them!

If you want to make sure your event listed on The Shadow Over Portland, email me at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll post the details on the site.  Advertising won't cost you anything, and you will reach hundreds of readers around the Pacific Northwest.  And remember, it's never too early to list your Halloween events!!

Don't forget, should you attend any of the events listed below, please let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!
