It's the calm before the Halloween storm, as spooky October events are showing up at The Shadow Over Portland!

As winter eventually comes to Westero, Halloween is coming to The Shadow Over Portland and I CAN'T WAIT.

The only problem with Halloween coming
is that it's over TOO SOON!

Of course, aside from the ongoing celebration here at The Shadow Over Portland office, it's also the busiest time of the year.  No matter how much I plan, or how hard I try to get early notices on all the amazing events and attractions coming to the Pacific Northwest, I'm always finding more to share during the most wonderful time of the year!  As always, I'll do my best to keep everyone updated on all the special events happening this October.

And I'm starting to find Halloween events right now!!  To start, the Corn Mazes 2017 page is now up, as Bella Organic released details on their Rip City maze.  I'll be posting more about that, and other mazes in the area, as details become available.

Check out the Open Audition page, as haunted attractions are looking to find monsters, makeup artists and other workers to spread the fear in October of this year.

And I'm posting details on the Haunted Attractions page about the haunted houses and corn mazes coming soon.  I've only found opening dates for a few site so far, but you know more information is coming soon!

Over on the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, I've got details on the Spirit of Halloweentown events starting in St Helens, OR, including the appearance of Kimberly J. Brown (Marnie from the Disney movie Halloweentown) and other cast members on October 14.  Burlynomicon is celebrating six years at the Lovecraft Bar in September, and Fabio Frizzi's return to The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR, this October (check the Buy Tickets Now section below).

Be sure to check back on all these sites later in the month, as Halloween is coming!

By the way, if you're attending the Rose City Comic Con in September, please stop by the Universal Unite! panel on Saturday at 4:30 pm, as Derek M. Koch moderates a discussion on the Dark Universe.  I'll be one of the panelists talking the slate of monster movies heading to the big screen in the next few years.  Come in and say hi!

As for this edition of the Weekly Update, I've got details on the Oregon Bigfoot Festival, stage performances and LOTS of great movies for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy fans.  No matter where you might be, I suspect you'll find something wonderful happening in your area!

Remember, listing an event on The Shadow Over Portland is easy and FREE!  Send me an email at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll take care of the rest!

And, should you attend any of the events listed below, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
