Check out all the spooky events around the Pacific Northwest this Halloween Week!

Well, I told you it was going to be another lengthy edition of the Weekly Update.  The final week of THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR has started and I've found lots of spooky events to help make your Halloween scary and full of fright!

The only downside is, it's the end of the season and soon we'll be flooded with tidings of comfort and joy.  Sure, the Christmas decorations have been in the stores for at least a month or more, but it's going to start coming on strong and I know you're wondering how you're going to come down from all the Frightful October Fun.

What do you mean Octobers almost over?
It just got started, damn it!!

You don't need to worry, as I've started listing events for November on the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar and the month is filling up with great movies, stage productions and events that will take the edge off the more cheery holidays ahead.  And keep checking back, as I'll be listing some events for December as well.  Hell, I've even started posting stuff for 2018!  With all the great events coming to the area, you'll feel like October is just around the corner!!

Remember, you can get your upcoming event listed on The Shadow Over Portland by sending me an email at shadowoverportland@live.com.  Include the details and any promotional artwork and I'll take care of the rest.  And don't forget, getting your event added to the site is FREE!

Finally, please remember to help spread the word about the site.  If you attend any of the events listed here, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!

Fathom Events is bring the wonderful musical Little Shop of Horrors back to theaters across the US today at 2 and 7 pm.  What makes this extra special this is the director's cut, which is basically the same film as the original theatrical release up until the end of the song Mean Green Mother from Outer Space.  After that, get ready, as Frank Oz's original ending is much bleaker, with an additional song and some AWESOME special effects.  DON'T miss this on the big screen!  For more detail, including a list of theaters showing the film in your location, visit the Fathom Events website.
