IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

I don't know why my day job has it out for me, but it seems as we start getting closer to THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR, the work piles up on me.  Every damn year.

But it's hard for me to care about the day job right now, as it's October and it's time to get spooky!

Okay, maybe I should say spookier than usual.
And a bit weirder.

I wanted to do a bit more work on the site before I released this edition of the Weekly Update, but I couldn't find the time to get it done.  Still, I've listed a lot of great events for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans to do with the next week, and I'll be posting updates as often as I can.

Oh, if you want to see what will be coming up later in the month, visit the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar.  I'm behind in getting all the events I've found on the site, but that seems to be normal this time of the years.  Still, I've listed most of the films showing this month at The Hollywood Theatre, all the films in the Academy Theater's month long Halloween celebration, and up in Seattle, be sure to check out the Beacon Theatre for an impressive Halloween lineup as well.

And, while I've added more to the Halloween Calendar of Events, more is coming, so keep checking back.

But I'm stepping out of the office this weekend for the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival and Cthulhucon, where I'll be reading some of my fiction tonight, and taking part in an interview with ROGER CORMAN tomorrow afternoon!  If you make it to the festival, I hope you'll stop and say hi.  Just look for the big bald guy in the black kilt, carrying a Creature from the Black Lagoon messenger bag!

Well, lunch is almost over and time to get back to work.  But remember, if you want your event listed on the site, just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with the details and promotional artwork, and I'll do the rest.  And don't forget, it's FREE!

From Ashland, OR, to Vancouver, BC, The Shadow Over Portland has you covered!!
