Well, I'm happy the rain is back for now

To everyone's surprise, rain returned to the Pacific Northwest.  At least in Portland, no one forecasted drizzle and showers for the weekend, so it was a bit surprising to wake up and realize I had a wet ride to work ahead of me.

Well, what can you do.  It's not like this hasn't happened before, and I'll dry off (eventually).  Besides, I'm enjoying the cooler temperatures.

And it's not like I'm gonna melt.  I think...

But neither wet weather or the day job is going to stop me from getting this edition of the Weekly Update out on time.  And this one is pretty good, with not just lots of great movies, but a few live events as well.  The Portland Horror Film Festival is continuing through Sunday, The Traveling Vampire Show visits Old Nick's Pub in Eugene, OR, tonight, Guillermo del Toro: Crafting Pinocchio opens on Saturday at the Portland Art Museum, Burlynomicon is holding a June Fusion Takeover at The Coffin Club in Portland, OR, this Tuesday, and the Paranormal Cirque II sets its tent up in Longview, WA, starting on Thursday.  All the details, and more, is down below.

And you'll also find details on the Portland Market of the Beast and the Dark Market, both in Portland, OR, this Sunday, and the Shenaniganza Night Market in Portland, OR, next Friday.

If you want to find even more great events coming later in the year, head over to the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar.  You'll find details on cons, film festivals and much more happening throughout 2023 and beyond!  Just remember, I add new events every week, so keep checking back.

Well, time to get back to the day job.  Stay safe and I'll be back next week with more great events taking place under The Shadow Over Portland!

If you'd like to support the site, please visit my Ko-fi page.  Thank you!
