Below you'll find ways to beat the summer heat and blockbuster fatigue!

I don't know if blockbuster fatigue is a real thing, but it seems most of the high profile summer movies thus far haven't done well at the box office.  And even the hot weather doesn't appear to be driving people into a dark, air conditioned theater.

I love having the theater to myself, but I wish the movie wasn't so familiar.

But for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans, plenty of other options exist.  And this edition of the Weekly Update is full of great films and live events to get you out of the heat and away from the multiplex.

If you want to make summer plans for later in the month, or check out what's coming in the next 6 months, head to the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar.  It's full of events taking place in the rest of 2023, and beyond!

Well, time to get back to the day job.  Stay safe and I'll be back with more great things taking place under The Shadow Over Portland.
