The countdown to Halloween continues and the list of Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events around the Pacific Northwest keeps getting longer!

For some reason, it feels like the Halloween Spirit is much stronger this year.  While I remember the Weekly Updates being rather lengthy in 2016, it seems the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events in the Pacific Northwest have increased, which is great news for genre fans. And while you might think it would be helpful to grow another you, or at least an extra head, so you can catch all the events in the area, I caution against such rash actions.  It never works out the way you'd like.

As you both will have similar tastes, chances are
you'll both end up at the same event.

Better to check out this edition of the Weekly Update and see where you'd most like to spend your time during THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!  Below you'll find lots of great movies, stage events, readings, pumpkin regattas and MUCH MORE!!

And that's only for the next nine days.  Visit the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar for even more spooky happenings up to, and BEYOND October 31st!

That's right, I've started working on November's offerings.  So if you have a film festival, toy/comic swap, genre themed stage production, or any event you know readers of The Shadow Over Portland would love to hear about, you can get it listed on the site.  Just email me with the details, links and any artwork for the event at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll take care of the rest.  It's easy and, best of all, FREE!

And please remember to spread the word.  If you attend any of the events listed below, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
