February might be the shortest month of the year, but it's aiming to be one of the busiest for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!

Wow, it has been very busy at The Shadow Over Portland office since October.  The last three months of 2017 was full of movies, stage productions, cons and other events that kept Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans out and about, despite the cold weather and icky illnesses making the rounds.

Good heavens, man, it's the cold and flu season.
Wash you damn hands!

And the beginning of 2018 is starting strong, as January was full of great events.  But don't think February will be any less loaded with great movies, stage productions and fun things to do!  Just take a look below at this edition of the Weekly Update and you'll see what I mean.  You can watch an amazing Tesla Coil Show, enjoy walking through a haunted attraction, or dress up for a vampire ball if you feel like dancing!  And if you love sitting in a dark theater, you'll probably find a great movie playing near you!  If this keeps up, the shortest month of the year is looking like it might be one of the busiest as well!!

Be sure to click on the link to the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar for more great events in the coming months, such as the new dates for the Portland Horror Film Festival (same location, just a week later), a list of local conventions and much more.  And you'll want to check back later, as I'm always adding more great stuff like the Portland International Film Festival After Dark schedule (which looks AMAZING and will be on the Calendar by next week!).
Speaking of the Portland Horror Film Festival, the organizers are waiving the fee for submissions from women directors during the month of February.  Head over to the Open Film Submissions Page for more details and all the links you need to submit your film.

Keep in mind, it's easy and FREE to have your event listed on the site.  Just email me the details, and any promotional artwork, at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll take care of the rest!

And please help spread the word!  If you attend any of the events listed below, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
