Whether you want to stay cool indoors, or brave the sunny weather, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans will find plenty to do in this edition of the Weekly Update.

For some reason, I feel like a few days were misplaced earlier in the week.  I woke up for the day job this morning, planning out the day in my head, only to realize I'd done all the first-day-of-my-week chores a couple days ago.  It was as if I went out dancing and someone shouted, "It's just a jump to the left," we all joined in and I came out of my time warp Thursday morning.

I wonder if I could use this excuse at work.
Sorry boss, I took a jump to the left, than stepped into Saturday!
Somehow, I don't think they'd believe it.

Though it's a day late, this edition of the Weekly Update isn't short on the great movies, outdoor events and other treats for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans.   For example, if you want to head outside this weekend, the Rose City Comic Con PDXHunt 2018 kicks off this Saturday in Portland, OR, or you can go enjoy a great movie in a local park.

But if you want to say indoors, I've go some great movies to check out.  As usual, the Rio Theatre in Vancouver, BC, has some great genre offerings coming up, and Friday Night Frights will be on the hunt for some BRAAAAINS this Friday in Tacoma.  The Broadway version of The Phantom of the Opera opens on July 25th in Portland, OR.  And The Mads from MST3K will be in Seattle next week.

Of course, if you want to do some long term planning, check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar for events happening for the rest of the year and into 2019.

If you want to make sure your event is covered under The Shadow Over Portland, just send me an email at shadowoverportland@live.com with all the details and promotional artwork, and I'll do the rest.  Best of all, I have one plan to fit everyone's advertising budget, as having your event listed on the site is FREE!

And if you attend any of the events mentioned below, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
