It's going to be a busy week for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!

Oh, don't let Saturday fool you, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans.  It might be cool and cloudy, with a chance of rain in the forecast, but even if the weather delivers, temperatures will rise next week.  I don't know about you, but I this Northwest heat wave makes me yearn for THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR even more.

Remember, if you're hot, they're hot.
Let your hideous sun demons inside!

We're very lucky to have some great Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events taking place around the Pacific Northwest, giving fans a chance to spend some time in a dark, air conditioned theater.  In this edition of the Weekly Update, you'll find details on the 2018 Sci Fi Film Festival at OMSI in Portland, OR, which started this week.  The Rio Theatre in Vancouver, BC, has a few great genre offerings coming in the next few days, and the Academy Theater in Portland, OR, continues it's summer repertory season with two classic fantasy offerings.

If you feel like venturing outside during the week, you will want to check out the Update, as I've got a few outdoor movie listings and the Goth Float on the Clackamas River coming up next weekend.

And be sure to check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar for more events coming up this year.  I've listed all the 2018 Sci Fi Film Festival screenings at OMSI, lots of great events coming in September and October, as well as ticket information for Horrific: A Night of Horror Themed Belly Dance in Tacoma in January 2019!

Don't forget to get your event posted on The Shadow Over Portland.  Just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with the details and promotional artwork, and I'll take care of the rest.  Except for billing you, as listings on the site are FREE!

And please help spread the word.  If you attend any of the events listed below, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
