Another Friday, another update full of great events happening in the Pacific Northwest!

This was an easy Weekly Update to put together, as Quantumania is taking over theaters across the Pacific Northwest, but that doesn't mean you've got to check out the latest from Marvel Studios to get your geek-on.  Just check out the great Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events below, and you'll see what I mean.  I'm not saying you shouldn't see the film (I know I will at some point), but you do have some options to keep you from heading into an over-crowded theater.

And we all know how rowdy those Marvel fans can be.

And while no other films are opening this week to take on the Marvel juggernaut, the bat-sh*t crazy-looking Cocaine Bear opens next week, and I'd love to see that film hit the number one slot on its opening weekend.  I'll have a more complete list of theaters showing the film next week.  And hell yeah, I'll be seeing that next weekend.

As for this week, Fan Expo Portland takes place this weekend, CineMagic in Portland, OR, is showing the first two Alien and Predator films, Central Cinema in Seattle, WA, is showing Nope and Pearl, you can check out Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey in multiple theaters, VHS Uber Alles brings Sylvia Kristel's only horror film to The Grand Illusion theater in Seattle, WA, and Northwest horror filmmaker Joe Sherlock's anthology Dark Zone Thirteen Part Two is playing at the Darkside Cinema in Corvallis, OR.  You'll find details on these events, and MANY MORE below.

But if you want to plan things out a bit further, check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, which has listing for the rest of the year.  I add more events every few days, so you'll want to keep checking back as you plan out your geeky outings.

Well, that's all I have for this week.  I'll be back next Friday with more great things happening under The Shadow Over Portland.  Stay safe and have a great week, everyone.
