Well, the past two weeks didn't turn out as I expected...

As I mentioned a couple weeks back, I had plans to get back on track with the blog, and to get back to my creative writing.  But, no surprise, I had a few setbacks with those goals.  For starts, the home improvement project took longer than expected, eating away at that five day weekend.

At least I didn't find some kind of alternate universe.  Could have been fun, but would have eaten up even more time.

By the time I was finished all the prep work for the update, it was late Tuesday night, and I lacked the energy to go any further.  I figured it would make posting the next update much easier.  I was so wrong...

eight days ago, I found out I was allergic to the fumes from a new cleaning product used at work.  Thankfully, it wasn't a life-threatening reaction, but my face, neck and upper chest swelled up, and oh, the itching.  It was pretty bad for a few days, and I didn't feel like doing much, other than try not to scratch my skin off.

I'm better now, though I still have some puffiness and itching to deal with.  Fun times!

As for this week, I started jury duty today, and might end up on one (I'll find out tomorrow).  I'm just glad I was able to get this edition of the Weekly Update out tonight, as I don't know what the future has planned for this next few days (or weeks, for that matter).

And I also have the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar almost up to date.  I only need to add an event coming in July from Puppeteers for Fears, which I'll have done in day or so.  Of course, I'll be finding new events to include, so keep checking back.

Well, time to sign off.  Take care, stay safe, and I'll be back soon with another update from The Shadow Over Portland!
