I'm late, and still behind, but I won't let Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy fans miss a Weekly Update this close to October!

Well, damn.  Events outside The Shadow Over Portland office have limited the time available to spend working on the site, and I've fallen so far behind that I've only updated a few things happening this week.  Thankfully, I still have time to get everything in order before THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR begins....

What do you mean October First is in FOUR DAYS?!?!

Holy crap!  I've got so much to do
before Sunday!

Well, I hope things outside of the office remain a bit calmer than the past week.  And it appears the weather might help, as rain comes into my neck of the woods on Friday, making it easier to spend time inside with a hot beverage, working on getting all the events listed on the site. Once I get it all updated, I'll be sure to let you all know, so you can get your Halloween calendars in order!

But I have a few things to mention happening at The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR.  First up, The H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival starts on October 6, and you'll find links to purchase tickets below.  For me, it's not the start of THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR until you get to hang out with fellow Lovecraft fans from around the world!  Oh, and it was just announced today that Mario Bava's Black Sunday will be screened during the festival, which should be AMAZING on the big screen!  And I'm a guest at the festival this year, so please say hi should you see me.  I'm the big bald guy wearing a black kilt and a Lovecraftian tee-shirt!

Also coming to The Hollywood Theatre is John Carpenter's The Thing October 13 to 15, in GLORIOUS 70mm.  Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, September 29, and you know they'll sell out quickly!  Details are below.

Well, you'll find a lot more great events below, and at the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar.  Don't forget, I'll be working my fingers to the bone (and beyond, if that's possible) to add all the October events to the site, so keep checking back!

If you want your event listed on The Shadow Over Portland, it's easy and free.  Just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with the details and any artwork and I'll do the rest.  I know I have a few events in my email inbox, and I promise I'll add them to the site by the end of the weekend.  Sorry for the delay, everyone.

And please spread the word!  Should you attend any of the events listed on the site, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
