The weather might be cooling down, but October is coming along with some great events for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!

Yep, you can tell Halloween is coming in The Shadow Over Portland office, as I am SO FAR BEHIND!  So much is happening, I can't keep up with everything, as more venues are adding events to celebrate THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR.

Yet, despite the numerous events I find online, I make time to do a little happy dance when I find something new to share with Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy fans.  After all, it might be something I'll be able to attend, and maybe bump into fellow fans like you, with makes this time of the year EVEN BETTER!

Imagine me, in a kilt, doing a happy dance like this
when I add something new to the site.
On second thought, that might not be such a good idea.

But I think this week's edition of the Weekly Update has all the important stuff coming to the Pacific Northwest through September.  I've included details on several great events at The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR, this week, a screening of local filmmaker Edward Martin III's latest, The Dead, at The Clinton Street Theater in Portland, OR, this Friday, and a couple of great events at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, WA.  Oh, and don't forget the annual celebration of Halloweentown in St Helens, OR, which starts this Sunday!

As for the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, be sure to check back next week, as I plan (hope) to have more films and events listed from across the Pacific Northwest.  The Haunted Attractions and Corn Maze 2017 pages continue to expand, and the Open Audition page contains details on October attractions looking for people.  Keep checking back, as I'll be sure to add more events as I find them!

Of course, you can make sure your event ends up on The Shadow Over Portland.  It's easy and, best of all, FREE!  Just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with details on the event and artwork, and I'll get it on the site.

And remember, help spread the word by letting organizers know you read about their event at The Shadow Over Portland!
