Sorry to be late, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans, but it's been a hellacoius week.

I know I'm a few days late with this edition of the Weekly Update, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans, and I apologize for my tardiness.  But this week has been hell, and it looks like the issues I thought would be over next week will stretch out into the summer.  So I just needed to walk away from the office for a few days, get myself centered, and consult the local fortune teller to see if things might change in the near future.

She sees my summer being more complicated than I expected.
She kept telling me to beware the full moon,
and not to look at my palms.  Weird, huh?

Regardless of her potentially dire forecast, if you ever need to know the latest information of events happening under The Shadow Over Portland, please check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar.  I try to keep adding new events every day, so you will always find events happening in the coming weeks and months, and even into 2019!

As for this week, The Academy Theater in Portland, OR, has its power restored and is open for business.  The schedule is a bit different, as some films have been held over, so check the link included below for the latest details.

The Portland Horror Film Festival is in full swing at The Hollywood Theatre, Little Shop of Horrors is still rocking the stage in Lakewood, WA, Friday Night Frights in Tacoma, WA is screening 1988's The Blob this weekend and the Olympia Film Society Fright Club continues to celebrate 30 years of Chucky with screenings of Child's Play.  And that's only a few of the great movies, festivals, cons and stage productions coming to the Pacific Northwest in the next few weeks.  It's almost like Halloween has come five months early!

Remember, it's never too early to have your Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy event posted on The Shadow Over Portland.  Just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with all the details and promotional artwork, and I'll do the rest.  It's that easy and, best of all, FREE!

And you can help spread the word.  If you attend any of the events listed on the site, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
