Do I have some sights to show you!

It's an extra long edition of the Weekly Update today, running through Thursday, April 17, because so much is happening and you might want some extra time to plan things out!  You're going to love the sights I have to show you!!

Okay, it might not be this grand, but I still think you'll be impressed.

To start, The Invincible Czars are touring the Pacific Northwest, providing live scores to both The Phantom of the Opera and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, and many of the locations showing both will allow you to buy a discounted, double feature ticket.  Burlynomican heads to the Jack London Revue in Portland, OR, on Tuesday, while this Friday, Pirates and Mermaids take over the Liberty Theatre Astoria in Astoria, OR, the Mount Hood Sasquatch Festival opens in Welches, OR, Friday Night Frights and the Blue Mouse Theatre in Tacoma host a screening of Beetlejuice with a live shadow cast, and Lou Ferrigno will be in two comic shops (in Tacoma, WA, and Milwaukie, OR) this Saturday and Sunday.

As for next week, I've got more news on The Invincible Czars tour, The St Helens Witch Dance practice (open to all) in St Helens, OR, and the Circus Obscura at Raven's Manor in Portland, OR.  And that doesn't include all the movies being screened.  And I've found two film festivals looking for submissions, and a 48 hour filmmaking challenge with a few spots still available.  It's all down below!

As for the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, all the events I know of (for now) are listed, so call it up-to-date for the moment.  You finds showtimes for the John Carpenter films playing at the Art House in Eugene, OR, the current offerings from Weird Elephant at The Grand Cinema in Tacoma, WA, and when the Paranormal Cirque II will set up their big top tent in a location near you.  And you'll find details on the cons, events and more taking place this year.  Just clicking the link above.

Well, between getting this out and the day job, it's been a long couple of days, so I'm signing off and kicking back on the couch.  Remember, if you have an event you want listed on the site, you can email me at shadowoverportland@live.com (or message me at Facebook) with the details and promotional art, and I'll take it from there.  Take care, have a great week, and I'll be back soon with another Weekly Update from The Shadow Over Portland!
