Yes, Northwest Horror Fans, I have even more to come, but let's get to the updated listings I have right now.
I think I have this weekend pretty well under control, but just when I think I've found everything, something else comes along. I'm pretty sure, by the time this month is over, you'll find me at The Hollywood Theatre, sitting in a seat laughing like Sam Neill.
Sharpie draw crosses might be involved
if I keep finding more events to add to the site.
For those living near Seattle and Tacoma, be sure to check out the
Haunted Attractions and
Corn Mazes, Haunted Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Patches pages, as I've updated them with events in your area.
And, as I mentioned above, I will be adding more events to the
Horror Calendar over the next few days. I'll be sure to post a Special Update should I find something happening before October 26!
But for now, here's what I have for the rest of the month, as well as a few thing happening in early November. Remember, get out and have a spooky good time at this MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!
Remember, if I missed an event you are running, or know of, email me at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll be sure to add it to the Calendar.
And, should you attend any of these events, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!

I just don't know what's going on with RiffTrax these days. First, they go after the Kaiju classic
Mothra, but tonight, the group is going a bit too far for me as they mock the low budget classic,
Carnival of Souls.
Sure, it might not be as polished as some other, bigger budgeted
production, but this film is a classic, one that DOES NOT deserve
mocking. Take on
The Killer Shrews (a personal favorite of mine)
and I'd be laughing with you. But I won't watch this travesty. Hey,
it's my blog and I say what I want. Anyway, the live performance takes
place tonight at 8 pm ET, 7 pm CT, and tape-delayed to 7 pm MT and 8 pm
PT. The event will be rebroadcasted on Monday, October 31 at 7:30 pm
(local time). To find a screening near you, and to purchase an advance
ticket to either show, visit this
Fathom Events website link.

Of course, some movies deserve a good heckling, and
The Wicker Man
is one. NO, I'm not talking the Robin Hardy classic. I'm talking the
ill-advised, rotten-to-the-core sequel starring Nicholas Cage. And
The Hollywood Theatre
(4122 NE Sandy Blvd in Portland, OR) is bringing this cinematic turd to
you in Hecklevision tonight at 9:30 pm. Just text your jokes, comments
and heckles, and your riff will appear on the screen. For more
details, and a link to advance ticket sales, visit
The Hollywood Website.

Okay, I know an anime convention might seem outside the darkness of
The Shadow Over Portland,
but I can say that's not the case. Subgenres exist that would bring an

into a few), which is why I'm mentioning that
Kumoricon, the anime convention held in Vancouver, WA, over the past five years, is moving across the river to
The Oregon Convention Center (777
NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd) in Portland, OR this year. No further
details are available at this time, so keep checking back, or visit the
