If you're not going out in the woods this weekend, check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy surprises happening in the Pacific Northwest this week!


If you live in the United States and you have a three day weekend, you might be heading out to a campground or finding some other way to get out in the woods.  Have fun, but be careful, as the woods can be a scary place.

But if you're just staying home, or have to work on Monday, you might be looking for something to do during the weekend, and this edition of the Weekly Update is full of great Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events happening in the Pacific Northwest.  From films to stage events and cons, you'll find something to attend near you!

Weird Wednesday at The Joy Cinema and Pub (11959 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard, OR) brings Christopher R. Mihm's House of Ghosts to the big screen tonight at 9:15 pm.  Mihm is the director of several wonderful homages to the classic horror and sci fi films of the 50s, including The Giant Spider and Weresquito: Nazi Hunter, and seeing one of his films in theaters is a rare treat, so don't miss out!  Admission is FREE, but you must be 18 or older to attend.  And don't forget to show your support of the Weird Wednesday screenings by stopping at the concession stand for some tasty treats and beverages before the film.  For more details, visit The Joy Cinema website.
