The Weekly Update is finally out!

To start, I want to thank The Hollywood Theatre for an awesome evening last Saturday night.  A sold out crowd turned out to watch Night of the Demons in GLORIOUS 35mm and were charmed by the wonderful Linnea Quigley, who came up to Portland for the event.  She introduced the film (and gave a commentary on a scene from her Horror Workout video), answered questions from the crowd about her career after the film, and stuck around to sign photos and personal items for a line of fans that stretched out of the theater!  Thank you for attending the screening, Linnea.  Please come back to Portland soon!!

Of course I was there!
It's not every day you get to meet a true Scream Queen!!

And I'm sorry I'm late with this edition of the Weekly Update, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans, but as Jimmy Buffet sang, it's my own damn fault.  I recently started working on a few writing projects I've had on the back burner for TOO long, and took on a couple more while I was at it.  Of course, that didn't add any more hours to the day, so I have to change up a few things so I have more time to work on the above mentioned projects and keep updating site in a more timely fashion.  I hope to have things worked out before the end of August, as it's almost THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR, and I need to have things figured out before October.

Anyway, this edition of the Weekly Update is full of great films, stage events and classes to keep you busy during the first week of August.  More is coming, so be sure to check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar later in the month, and keep an eye out for the next edition of the Weekly Update!

You can have your event listed on the site by just emailing me at shadowoverportland@live.com with details and promotional art, and I'll take care of the rest.  And the price is still incredibly affordable for any budget, as postings are still FREE!

And, if you attend any of the events listed here, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!!
