The Hollywood Threatre and the Rio Theatre are opening soon!

It's looking like more local theaters are planning to open in the next few months.  The Rio Theatre in Vancouver, BC, is planning to start showing films again on June 15, while the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR, will reopen on July 2.  That's great news, as these venues show a variety of classic and indie Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Films.  I'm hoping other such theaters will be able to open soon, and you know I'll keep you posted!

Theaters are opening again!  That means film festivals and cons
are just around the corner!!

I've also decided to add some upcoming events to the end of the Weekly Update starting today, so scroll down for details on the latest film by local filmmaker Joe Sherlock, Channel 99, which will be shown at the Whiteside Theatre in June!!  Of course, you can always visit the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar for all the latest details on upcoming events!

That said, keep in mind that these theaters will have rules in place to keep patrons safe from Covid-19, as the pandemic isn't over yet.  So expect to be wearing a mask, possible have to purchase tickets in advance, and socially distance when you enter the theater.  And please, be nice to the people working at the theaters.
