Yeah, Saturday was the day I had planned out to clean up the condo and get the Weekly Update published. Of course, life had other ideas. I was in the kitchen, raising my arms above my head in a simple stretch when, pop, my back went out.
And this was the first thing to cross my mind when it happened.
I spent all of yesterday laying on a heating pad and occasionally trying to walk to the bathroom, which probably looked pretty comical. I'm better today, able to sit at my dest and work on the site without my back getting annoyed at lack of prone-ness. Hope I'll be able to get to the day job on Tuesday, as I really don't want to use up my limited sick days this early in the year.
But at least I was able to get the Weekly Update out, as the rest of the month has some great horror/sci fi/fantasy events for Pacific Northwest fans to check out. Most of the events are films, but you'll find details on The Portland Horror Trivia Massacre happening on Tuesday, the start of the OMSI Sci-Fi Film Fest starting at the end of the month, and San Francisco-based band Sleepbomb performing a live score to Night of the Living Dead at the Art House in Eugene and the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, also at the end of the month.
And I had time to get the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar pretty well caught up. I've posted all the Friday Night Frights presentations at the Blue Mouse Theatre in Tacoma through September, found more news about the cons coming to the PNW, as well as details on live events taking place in the coming months, and MUCH MORE! I'll be adding more soon, so keep checking back.

It's the Avengers movie we so deserve! I'm assuming this is a 21 and older screening.
