Hope everyone had a great New Years celebration!

Yes, it's a bit late, but I hope all you Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans had a wonderful New Years celebration.  I would have wished you this sooner, but the problems I hoped were resolved in late 2019 decided to follow me into 2020.  So instead of watching the ball drop, I felt like it hit me in the face.

Ready to start the New Year Eve countdown, BOOOOOOYYYYYY?

While those problems have yet to be laid to rest, at least I've got enough dirt on top of them to provide a bit of a reprieve and get The Shadow Over Portland back in order.  I've got the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar updated, but you'll want to keep checking back as I find more movies, festivals and cons coming to the Pacific Northwest this year.

But let's talk this edition of the Weekly Update.  The big news is Richard Stanley's adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft's Color Out of Space is coming to theaters next weekend and, while I've only found two screenings so far, expect more to be added soon.  And if you get the chance to see it in theaters, do so.  It's amazing.

Experience Theater Project in Beaverton, OR, is bringing The Strange Case of Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde to the stage, only this time, the action takes place in a 1800s gold rush town.  Also, Friday Night Frights will screen Frozen (the horror film, NOT the Disney musical!) this weekend, and Horrific: A Night of Horror Themed Belly Dance takes to the stage next weekend, both in Tacoma, WA.  You'll find more information and links for these events, and much more, down below.

If you have an event you want listed on the site, just email me the details and promotional artwork at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll post it as soon as possible.  And my prices haven't gone up this year, which means having your event on site is still FREE!

From Ashland, OR, to Vancouver, BC, The Shadow Over Portland has you covered!
