Wednesday, October 10, 2018

I just regained my sanity in time to get this edition of the Weekly Update out!

I took last weekend off to attend the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival and Cthulhucon and, let's face it, three days of cosmic horror is enough to test the sanity of the most avid fan of weird tales.  It was awesome, and I want to give a big shout out to Gwen and Brian Callahan, along with their army of minions, for a wonderful festival.  Also, a big thank you to Derek M. Koch, Dominique Lamssies, Kenneth Hite and Ray Gorton for taking part in my panel, Of Vampires and Space Rocks: The lesser known cosmic horrors.  And thanks to Andrew Migliore, for adding me to the Lovecraft Squares game.  And it was wonderful to bump into so many friends, and make a few new ones.

Can't hurt to have an Elder Thing friend when
Cthulhu awakes.

Of course, as this is THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR, the Halloween events piled up, but I've managed to post everything I've found so far on the site.  But more is coming, as I've yet to dig into Haunted Attractions in Seattle, Olympia, Salem and other cities, so you'll want to check the Halloween 2018 page later, as I plan to have more details soon.

And keep checking back at the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, as I keep find more great films, festivals, stage productions and other events happening this month, throughout the rest of this year, and into 2019.  If I can get the details, I'll be sure to post it.

Of course, you can help me out a bit by emailing me at shadowoverportland@live.com with any information about an event you're organizing, or one you know about.  Listing an event on the site is FREE, so no need to worry about your advertising budget.

From Ashland, OR, to Vancouver, BC, The Shadow Over Portland has you covered!
