Summer seems determined not to let fall start for the next few days, damn it!

I started writing this edition of the Weekly Update on the evening of the Fall Equinox, which you'd expect means cooler weather, hoodies, falling leaves and THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR.  Instead, summer is being a major bitch and delivering temperatures in the 80s (F) for most of the week.  In fact, here in Portland, we might hit 90 (F) on Sunday.

If this weather pattern keeps up, I might be trading in my bike for something designed for the heat.

As we wait for fall weather to return, check out this extra long Weekly Update, as it includes a bunch of haunted attractions opening next weekend.  You'll find some great movies, stage events, and MORE!

As for the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, October is starting to fill up with some great events and movies coming to the Pacific Northwest.  And it will keep growing, so you'll want to check back often to keep up with the everything happening next month, the rest of the year, and BEYOND!

I hope the coming week is full of crispy leaves under your feet, pumpkin spice coffee (or whatever warming beverage you like) and the joy of pulling your hoodies and sweaters out of storage.  Stay safe, and I'll be back next week with more great events happening under The Shadow Over Portland!

If you'd like to support the site, please visit my Ko-fi page.  Thank you.
