Yep, the Christmas shopping season is on, and the stores will be stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey this weekend. But why hassle with the crowds when this edition of the Weekly Update is full of great horror/sci fi/fantasy events that will be much more fun than walking the aisles of your nearest mega store.
And you won't have to worry about out of control security robots!

It will also play at the Blue Mouse Theatre (2611 N Proctor St in Tacoma, WA) through Sunday, November 28, the 99W Drive-In (3110 Portland Rd in Newberg, OR) on Friday and Saturday, November 26 and 27, after the Will Ferrell movie Elf. Weird Elephant at The Grand Cinema (606 Fawcett Ave in Tacoma, WA) will show the cult classic Donnie Darko tonight and tomorrow night at 10 pm.
The Rio Grind Film Festival 2021 continues at the Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway in Vancouver, BC) with a screening of the horror drama Miracle Valley tonight at 6:30 pm. Director Greg Sestero (yep, Mark from The Room)
will be live via the Internet for a post-screening Q and A. Also
screening tonight is Brazilian filmmaker Renata Pinheiro's sci fi
thriller King Car at 9:15 pm.

Geek the Halls 2021 takes place today and tomorrow, from 9 am to 5 pm, at the DoubleTree Exhibit Hall (1000 NE Multnomah St in Portland, OR).
The Krampus CERAMIC and screen print Bazaar! takes place from 11 am to 5 pm at the DEVIL-ish Little Things Museum (3409 L St in Vancouver, WA). Please note this event is a sale event only; the museum is not open for tours.

The Rio Grind Film Festival 2021 continues at the Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway in Vancouver, BC) with a screening of the surivior-horror film Ditched at 4:30 pm (with a filmmaker Q and A), a screening of the 2021 restoration of The Howling at 6:45 pm, and French filmmaker Bernard Mandico's sci fi film After Blue (Dirty Paradise) at 9:30 pm.
Stumptown Stages presents a world premiere musical, A Carol for Christmas, at Portland'5 Winningstad Theatre
(1111 SW Broadway in Portland, OR) through Sunday, December 19. The
production takes Dickens classic holiday ghost tale and sets in the
Midwest during the 1930's American Depression. Sounds like the perfect
setting for a tale about greed, the disregard for humanity and personal
redemtion.
The Beacon (4405 Rainier Ave S in Seattle, WA) will show Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, a tribute to timeless, dark children's horror stories, tonight at 8 pm.
The Whiteside Theatre (361 SW Madison Ave in Corvallis, OR) will show the Pixar feature Onward today at 3 pm.
