Happy October, everyone!

Okay, so I'm a little early, but I don't care.  It's October and the start of THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR, and I'm so happy.  Well, except for my fingers, as I've worked them to the bone to get this long edition of the Weekly Update out on time.

I have no idea how I'm going to get my computer clean after this week.

Part of what makes this update so long is I've yet to create a Halloween 2022 page, as I've done in the past.  So all the haunted attractions and corn mazes are on the top of the page (and also the top of the October 1 section), so you have a lot to scroll through before you find the other events.  I hope to have that page up in the next few days, allowing you to find a haunted attraction near you with more ease than checking the address of each post.

But it's worth the time, as this edition of the Weekly Update is full of great movies, festivals, stage events, haunted attractions, and MUCH MORE!  And you'll find even more great things to do on the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, which covers the rest of the month, the rest of the year, and beyond!

By the way, if you know of a haunted attraction, special Halloween event, or a local theater showing horror films this month, please let me know and I'll add it to the site.

Well, the day job is calling.  Wish I could ignore it, but that just makes it squawk louder.  Stay safe and sane, and I'll be back next week with more Halloween goodies under The Shadow Over Portland.

If you'd like to support my work, please visit my Ko-fi page.  Thank you!
