Happy, happy Halloween!
Wow, Halloween is coming up quick, and the list of great events happening in the Pacific Northwest keeps growing. Here's everything I've been able to find over the past few days, but I'm sure more is on the way. Ongoing
This is your last chance to see the
Portland Center Stage (128 NW 11 Ave in Portland, OR) production of
Little Shop of Horror on
the U.S. Bank Main Stage. The show must end this weekend, so don't
miss your final opportunity to see this production!! PCS suggests the
production is suitable for ages 12 and up (be aware that children under 6
are not allowed to attend any PCS production). The show runs through

The Spirit of Halloweentown in St Helens, OR
The Spirit of Halloweentown returns to the the city of
St. Helens in Oregon for a month-long celebration full of amazing events. From haunted tours, pumpkin carving contests, a
Howl-oween 5K dog walk,
and more, this should be on every Northwest Halloween fan's calendar!

Halloweentown (St Helens, OR) just added some of the Scooby Gang to their events. Emma Caulfield (Anya) and Nicholas Brendon (Xander) from
Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, will join the festivities. Caulfield will be at

photo shoots on Saturday, October 29. while Brendon will be available
for photo shots October 29 and 30. And you can buy group photos! I'll

Evil Dead: The Musical is turning the Pacific Northwest with stops at
The Alberta Rose Theatre (3000
NE Alberta St in Portland, OR) on October 14 and 15, at the Revue Stage
at Granville Island (1601 Johnston St in Vancouver, BC) on October 28
and 29, and the Metro Studio Theatre (1411 Quadra St in Victoria BC) on
November 4 and 5. Some performances in both Portland and Vancouver, BC,
have sold out, so you want to buy your tickets SOON! And yes, there is

Tonight's
Weird Wednesday offering at
The Joy Cinema and Pub (11959 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard, OR) goes by many names, including
The Horrible Man Beast.
But I can not find any information about this film, so I'm going to let
The Joy tell you about it. "More importantly, it has monsters, mad
scientists, wrestling and surgery. Please be warned, there's a little
something to offend just about everybody in this one. And we're darn
proud to show it!" Can't think of a more ringing endorsement than
that!! Showtime is 9:15 pm. As always, admission if FREE, but you must
be 21 or older to attend. Be sure to stop by the concession stand and
spend a few bucks on some tasty food and beverages before the movie. DO
NOT incur the wrath of the Man Beast by bringing outside food or
beverages. He really hates that and the theater is not responsible for

The Ward
is a short gothic chiller concerning a man suffering metaphysical
persecution by a mysterious man in a black cloak. The feature film,
The Butterfly,
concerns a rural village loosing its mill operators to an unknown

in GLORIOUS 35mm! This 1970 Grindhouse feature is an ultra low budget
treat, as Milligan not only did most of the work behind the camera and
in the editing room, he also mad the costumes in this period piece set
in the Middle Ages! Mulligan biographer Jimmy McDonough will introduce
the movie, as well as providing a very rare Milligan directed short that

the Classic Universal Monster Movies to the big screen during the

Stanley Kubrick's The Shining to

this, Fathom, but screening this film is an October tradition around the
Northwest, and I'm sure several local theaters will be screening it
again this year. But, to be fair, this screening does include exclusive
