Happy Valentine's Day, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!

Okay, we all know this is the day to send sappy cards to loved ones in honor of a priest martyred in 269 AD (for reasons known only to Hallmark), but no one says we have to follow that tradition, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!  For a few examples, take a look at this edition of the Weekly Update, which has a few romantic offerings that are quite unconventional.

For example, lots of theaters are still showing Guillermo del Toro's Oscar nominated film The Shape of Water, which will melt the hearts of any Monster Kid.  Or, if you're in the Portland, OR, area, you can catch a demented doll love story, a classic Bela Lugosi chiller, or some great Kaiju mayhem tonight.  As for the weekend, you'll find so many great offerings that you just have to scroll down to see them all!

But don't forget the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, where you'll find more amazing events during the rest of the month, and all year long!  Be sure to check back later, as I plan/hope to add A LOT of great stuff over the weekend!!

Don't forget, you can get your genre festival/stage event/screening listed on The Shadow Over Portland for FREE!  Just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with the details and any promotional art, and I'll take care of the rest!!

And please keep spreading the word.  If you attend any of the events listed on the site, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland.

And remember, today is not the day to go exploring old mines, even if it seems a cool place to party.  It's not going to end well, folks.  Just saying.

Blood is red, blunt trauma is black and blue,
I've spent all year in this tunnel
Waiting for you.
