It's (almost) THE MOST WONDERFUL DAY OF THE YEAR! Happy Halloween, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!!

Everyone sing along!

Okay, it's not THE MOST WONDERFUL DAY OF THE YEAR quite yet, but I wanted to get this edition of the Weekly Update out early, for a couple of reasons.  First off, you still have a chance to catch a few movies that end on October 30, so if you're looking for some pre-Halloween fun, check out the Now Playing section below.  Also, I found a few more great Halloween events, like the screening of White Zombie at Bunsenbrewer in Sandy, OR, or Lloyd Kaufman's stop at the Barnes and Noble in Clackamas, OR, that you might want to check out.

Finally, tomorrow is Halloween, and that's enough of a reason for The Shadow Over Portland office to close and allow our employees (okay, me) to celebrate THE MOST WONDERFUL DAY OF THE YEAR watching movies, dressing up, or visiting a haunted location or two.

But no need to worry about post-Halloween blues setting in, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans.  Just check out the great movies,
stage events and conventions coming our way during the first week of November.  It might not be the Halloween season, but that doesn't mean we won't be having a wonderful time under The Shadow Over Portland.

And don't forget, if you're looking to catch the greatest Christmas movie ever made, I'll be posting all the screenings of Die Hard I can find, as well as the other great holiday classics like Silent Night, Deadly Night, Gremlins and the like.  No need to suffer through normal cable Christmas movie marathons, just keep checking out the site for the strange, wonderful Christmas events coming to the Pacific Northwest!

You can start planning the rest of the year now by visiting the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar now.  I've already posted a couple of haunted attractions, some great Thanksgiving and Christmas horror films, and a bunch of great geeky bazaars coming to the Pacific Northwest.  And I've posted some amazing events coming in 2019, so you can start planning for the New Year!  As always, I suggest you keep checking back, as I update the page every time I find something to share.

If you want your Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy event listed on the site, all you need to do is email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with the details and promotional artwork, and I'll do the rest.  Well, everything but sending you a bill, as having your event posted on The Shadow Over Portland is FREE!

Again, have a wonderful Halloween, everyone.  Have a scary, treat-filled evening, with a few fun little tricks, and I'll be back in November!

From Ashland, OR, to Vancouver, BC, The Shadow Over Portland has you covered!!
