Happy Thanksgiving, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!


Well, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I hope all Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans have a wonderful day.  Don't forget to pop in an appropriately themed film to decompress after the family dinner!

Of course, you might be wondering what you're going to do as the Christmas season goes into overdrive on Friday, and this edition of the Weekly Update is here to help!  Below you'll find lots of great movies, stage productions, Krampus-centric events and MUCH MORE!  You won't be at a loss for things to do.  Instead, you'll be busy trying to no miss a thing!!

Weird Wednesday at The Joy Cinema and Pub (11959 SW Pacific  Highway in Tigard, OR) brings out the Mystic Pumpkin for another round of Monster Roulette tonight at 9:15 pm.  Whatever film is chosen by an audience member is what will screen, but the film will have a monster in it!

If your taste in music is a little weird, check out the Something Weird Greatest Hits Record Release Party at 9 pm tonight at Darrell's Tavern (18041 Aurora Ave N in Shoreline, WA).  The folks at Something Weird Video have put together a album full of oddball and obscure classic exploitation cinema soundtracks from the 60s to early 70s.  Joining in the celebration are the Portland band The Sellwoods, and coming from the Akron/Cleveland area, The Torments!  Tickets are just $7, but you must be 21 or older to attend.  For more details, visit the Facebook Event Page.
