Don't dispair, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans! The Weekly Update is here to help you overcome the post-Halloween blues!!


Yes, THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR has come and gone, and it's possible you're suffering the post-Halloween blues.  Symptoms include a general feeling of malaise and the sensation that you'll never find anything to do until October comes around next year.

Wait, what do you mean Halloween is over and I shouldn't cover myself
with fake blood anymore?  That is so uncool.

Well, don't fret, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans, November is still full of great events, movies and conventions to carry us through the rest of 2018.  Just look at this edition of the Weekly Update, which includes a slew of great movies, cons, art events and MORE to help you keep the glow of Halloween in your heart. 

And it's not a temporary holdover from last month.  Just head over the the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, where you'll find lots of great events coming our way during the rest of the year, and well into 2019.  And you know more is on the way, as I find more geeky holiday bazaars, films, stage events and cons to share with everyone.

Wednesday, November 7

Weird Wednesday at The Joy Cinema and Pub (11959 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard, OR) will be a mystery tonight, as it will be Owner's Choice night at 9:15 pm tonight.  You'll have to show up to find out what the movie will be, but one has to assume it will be WEIRD!  Help to keep the weirdness going at The Joy by stopping at the concession stand before the film and purchase some tasty treats and beverages before the show.  Admission is FREE, but you must be 18 or older to attend.  For more details, visit The Joy Cinema website.

The Olympia Film Society presents the Midnight Mayhem selection for the 35th Annual Olympia Film Festival, One Cut of the Dead, tonight at midnight.  A film crew shooting a zombie movie in an abandoned warehouse are attacked by actual zombies.  Sure, sounds like every zombie movie you've seen, but this film opens with a NON-STOP, ONE-TAKE 37 MINUTE SHOT!!  It's suggest you research no further and just enjoy the film!  Doors at the Capitol Theater (206 5th Ave SE in Olympia, WA) open at 11:30 pm, so be sure to get there early!
