The holiday season has plenty of gifts for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!


Well, it's getting colder and darker here in the Pacific Northwest, and you might be feeling like taking a long winter nap until spring.  But if you do, you'll miss out on all the great stuff Santa has planned for you!  He's been working hard all year to make sure all good little Horror/Sci Fi Fantasy Fans have a great holiday season under The Shadow Over Portland, and you don't want to disappoint him by missing out on the great movies, stage productions and geeky bazaars!

This edition of the Weekly Update lists a bunch of great events, including Orycon, Lovecraft at the Lovecraft and the Metalesque Fest in Portland, OR, the Rio Grind Film Festival in Vancouver, BC, and the Friday Night Frights screening of Child's Play 2 in Tacoma, WA.  And of course, you'll find plenty of other great movies screening across the Pacific Northwest.

But the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar has even more terrifying stocking stuffers coming in December.  The NW Film Center's Genrified! Cult and Other Curiosities series brings the work of Mario Bava and Dario Argento to Portland, OR (so you know, limited tickets will be available at the door for screenings of Suspiria during the first weekend of December).  Another Wolf Cop is coming to theaters in Portland and Vancouver, BC.  Scrooged is screening at several theaters, Krampus will be available for holiday photos in Portland, OR.  The slasher snowman film Jack Frost plays in Tacoma, WA and Vancouver, WA.  And don't forget, The Shape of Water premiers December 15!  Be sure to keep checking back, as I'll be adding more to the calendar as the year winds down!!

Yep, the holiday season will be full of terrific treats and The Shadow Over Portland will continue to make sure you don't miss one minute of the festivities!
