I'm really surprised how many great movies and stage events are taking place through the rest of this month. I've found a couple of plays, a sci fi themed burlesque performance and movies ranging from current blockbusters to indie favorites. With so much to choose from, you might find your brains leaking out your ears.
Or maybe your nose. Your results may vary.
But if you think this month is ending on a high note, I've got more great news about May in the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar. You'll find ways to celebrate May the Fourth, appearances by Brian Trenchard-Smith and Lloyd Kaufman, a great film to take your mom to on Mother's Day, a list of all the guests at Crypticon Seattle, info on the Bonebat Comedy of Horrors Film Fest and, of course, the local theaters showing the new Doctor Strange movie. Click on the link and check it out! But keep coming back, as I update the calendar every couple of days.
If you're a filmmaker, scroll down to check out the links to the Portland Horror Film Festival and Bleedingham, which are accepting submissions for 2022. And if you want to apply for a stage event, you'll find a link to Metalesque Fest, which is taking applications for the 2022 shows.
That should do it for this week. Please, if you visit any of the events listed below, let the staff know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!
If you'd like to support the site, please visit my Ko-fi page. Thank you!
