The snow is gone and life has returned to normal in the Pacific Northwest. Which means now is the time to get out of the house occurring during the rest of January under The Shadow Over Portland.
While this month is ending on a high note, February is looking pretty good as well. But, as this edition of the Weekly Update is only through the end of the month, you'll have to check out the Horror Calendar for all the details on the films and cons happening in the Pacific Northwest for next month and beyond.
A special note to Seattle grindhouse fans, I've started receiving information from Grindtopia, a monthly screening of classic genre films. Be sure to check out this month's screening at the end of the update, and keep your eyes posted for more details on February's First Annual Black History Month Spectacular!
Also of note in February is the Hoquiam High School Drama Club's production of Little Shop of Horrors in Hoquiam, WA, multiple screenings of the anime feature Ghost in the Shell, The Undead Masquerade in Mountlake Terrance, WA, and the First Friday art showing at Wells and Verne in Portland, OR featuring the work of local artist John Donald Carlucci.
But I know everyone's excited for this month's events, so let's get on with the update. Just remember, if you have an event, or know of one, you wish to promote, email me at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll add it to the site.
And, should you attend any of the events listed here, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland!
