The holiday might be over in the US, but the celebration goes on for Northwest Horror/Sci FI/Fantasy fans!

Well, the rocket's multicolored glare is over here in the US, and we got quite lucky this year.  The full moon is this weekend, but had it happened a few days earlier, the local werewolf population would have caused untold damage trying to hide from the fireworks.  You think your pets would have an issue, imagine a lycanthrope pack trying to take cover under your porch.

No, this is my hiding spot!
Go find your own table!!

But though the holiday has past, it's still time for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy fans to celebrate, as this edition of the Weekly Update has lots of great events to keep you inside, or out in the sun!  Below, you'll find details on genre movies in the park, lots of films in the theaters and some stage productions and music events to keep you busy!  The Spielberg on Film series is in full swing at The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR, The Descent screens as part of the Shriek: A Women in Horror Class series in Seattle, WA, Batman: The Movie comes to the Rio Theatre in Vancouver, BC and Shock Opera takes to the stage at the Paris Theatre in Portland, OR.

Don't forget, Halloween is a little over 100 days away and now is the time to get your Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy event listed on The Shadow Over Portland.  Just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com and I'll post the details on the site.  It's both easy and Free!
