You can feel it in the air, the pleasant chill in the morning and once the sun sets. You can hear an occasional fallen leaf rattle down the road during a soft breeze. Yes, fall is coming, and that means the official Halloween season is almost here!
Still, events are trickling into The Shadow Over Portland office at a pretty slow pace compared to two years ago. And we all know why, so I'm not going to say anything else on the matter (other than please, use the links on the site to check on the venue's COVID safety protocols; many are now requiring either proof of vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID test within the past 48 hours before you can enter). I'm just going to sit at my desk and wait for the exciting films, haunted attractions and such that will fill our October nights with fun and frights.
Because we have to have a Halloween season this year. We just have to.
I'd like to say I'd be screaming on the phone to someone important if COVID cancels Halloween again,
but who the hell do you call?
When those events start popping up, you know The Shadow Over Portland will help you have a merry, scary Halloween. In the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, you'll find films, festivals, balls and dances, bazaars and the like. If you're looking for haunted attractions and corn mazes, visit the HALLOWEEN 2021 page.
