Well, September is testing my patience!

Yeah, THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR is coming up, but September is throwing all sorts of obstacles in my way.  The day job is hampering my ability to be functional at The Shadow Over Portland office, which lead to me missing last week's Weekly Update.  I wasn't able to do much on the site over the past week, then last night, my Internet connection decided to fail.

I'd have pulled my hair out by now,
but, if you know me, you know I don't have much to pull out.

So now, I'm at a local bar using their Internet connection to get this edition of the Weekly Update out on the Web.  I'm sure it's not complete, and I apologize for missing some events, but I hope to get things back to normal by the end of the week.  Just don't hold me to that, as I have to work an extra shift on Saturday, but I'm going to try.  I've found so much in the past few weeks that I have to share with Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans, and I really want to get it out there.  It just might take a while, so I'm asking for your patience.

The good news is, next weekend, I'll be at the H. P. Lovecraft Film Festival and Cthulhucon at The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR, talking with Roger Corman!  Hell yes, I'll be discussing his film The Haunted Palace, and what he might have done if AIP had released it as a Lovecraft film, rather than shoehorning it into the Poe cycle of films.  I'll also be reading a few of my short stories, and might be part of a few other panels.  But I'll also be hanging out, looking to meet up with fellow fans of cosmic horror.  I hope you stop me and say hi as I roam about The Hollywood.  Just look for the tall, bald guy in a kilt (okay, that's pretty common here in Portland) and let's talk Lovecraft!

As I said, I'll be working to get the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar and the Halloween Calendar of Events during the next few days, so please check back, so you can get all the details about the great events coming next month, as well as during the rest of the year and into 2020!

Remember, if you want your event listed on the site, just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com, and I'll be sure to post it.  Best of all, any listing on the site is FREE, so you can reach hundreds of genre fans in the Pacific Northwest without stretching your advertising budget.

Again, sorry if I missed your event.  I'll try to get things back to normal by the end of the weekend.

From Ashland, OR, to Vancouver, BC, The Shadow Over Portland has you covered!
