Well, I missed a few things on the update, so here's a Special Report!

Yep, looks like I missed a couple of things when I published the current Weekly Update.  I don't want Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy fans to miss out, so here's the events I didn't get out earlier.

They Live, director John Carpenter's sci fi satire on Reaganomics, seems as timely now as it did in 1988.  Rowdy Roddy Piper plays a homeless, out of work blue collar laborer drifting from job to job, who comes across a pair of sunglasses that allow him to see the aliens, and their subliminal messages, who are ruining the Earth for their own gain.  Of course, his only choice is to chew bubblegum and kick ass...  And he's all out of gum!   The film is at The Academy Theater (7818 SE Stark St in Portland, OR) at 9::40 pm through Thursday, April 6.  For more details, visit The Academy Theater website.

Horror Brew's Pub Quiz takes place on Tuesday, April 4 at Home, A Bar (719 SE Morrison St in Portland, OR).  Get a team together and test your wits at Portland's only horror trivia night.  The top two teams win gift certificates to Home, A Bar, and there will be raffles for horror prizes.  The quiz starts at 7:30 pm.  For more details, visit the Facebook Event Page.

------------

I think that covers everything this week.  Be sure to check the Horror Calendar for more Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events happening around the Pacific Northwest this year, as well as some happening in 2018.  From Ashland, OR, to Vancouver, BC, The Shadow Over Portland has you covered!
