Well, looks like I didn't check my calendar too closely last week, as THIS edition of the Weekly Update is the last one for the month of May, despite the headline for May 23. Much as I'd like to blame the mistake on a temporal distortion or a journey into an alternate reality, I just have to admit I screwed up.
Although trying to pass it off as some kind of
time tunnel accident sounds so much cooler!
Regardless, this edition of the Weekly Update is a great way to end the month of May and head into June! Listed below are the final genre films at the Seattle International Film Festival and the first genre features playing in the Academy Theater Summer Repertory series. Of course, you'll also read about some great cons, films, a great B-Movie Bingo feature as well as the first film in the Mondo Trasho series, both at The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR.
Of course, the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar is updated, at least with the events I mentioned needing to post on the site last week. But I've found SO MUCH MORE to add that I'll be working on it again over the weekend, so please check back. You're going to love all the great events coming this summer, and throughout the rest of the year.
Remember, it's quick and easy to get your event listed on The Shadow Over Portland. Just email me at shadowoverportland@live.com with the details and any promotional material, and I'll take care of the rest. Best of all, it's FREE!
And please help spread the word. Should you attend any of the events listed below, let the organizers know you read about it at The Shadow Over Portland.
