Well, the latest news about THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR is pretty awesome. I've seen the upcoming releases for two local theaters residing under The Shadow Over Portland, and if others follow their lead, Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans will have some great movies to go see during the Halloween season!
Yep, my heart burst with joy as I saw the films coming to the Pacific Northwest this October!
I have yet to add them to the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, but I should be able to have them on the page by next Tuesday, so be sure to check back. And while I haven't added anything to the HALLOWEEN 2021 page, I'm hoping that situation will change soon.
I'm certain part of the reason for waiting has EVERYTHING to do with the current Covid spike taking place in the Northwest (and most of North America). Let's be honest, even if some events are able to come back, it will likely be on a limited basis, and the event organizers want to be certain it's economically viable to open, and keep their workers and patrons safe.
So please, wear your mask, practice social distancing and proper hygiene to keep the virus from spreading any further. And keep checking back at The Shadow Over Portland for the latest news about Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy films, festivals, cons, bazaars and MUCH MORE!
Stay safe and see you next week with another Weekly Update!
