Yeah, I missed the Friday deadline again. I'd like to point my finger at one thing that caused my tardiness, but I think it's a collection of factors; day job hassles, still adjusting to a new sleep pattern, the continuing heat, the smoky skies (thanks to the wind and wildfires) and the fact that I'm biking 8 miles a day to (and from) the day job to avoid the constant delays with bus service right now. By the time I get home most nights, it's a struggle to keep from sprawling out on the sofa before taking a shower.
Too bad I don't have a little alien friend to help me avoid traffic.
We'll have to see how I do next week, as I plan to get a bit more sleep during my upcoming weekend. At least I hope...
Okay, enough about me. Let's get to the Weekly Update, full of great movies, cons and stage events to keep most Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/ Fantasy Fans busy for the coming week. Oh, and the corn mazes on Sauvie Island have opened, if you're in the mood to walk along walls of corn. I think it would be best to just avoid any children hanging out on their own.
Of course I'm going to make a Children of the Corn joke. How can I not?
If you want to see what's happening in the rest of the year, head to the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar. Be aware, I've got lots more to add, as THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR is coming up, so check back often!
Anyway, have to sign off and get back to the day job. Everyone stay safe, and I'll be back next week with more great events happening under The Shadow Over Portland!
If you'd like to support the site, please check out my Ko-fi page. Thank you!
