I know I shouldn't complain, as some areas of the US are breaking high heat records. And I doubt I'd be able to survive in a city where the temperature has been over 110 degrees F for days. But still, the 16 mile cycling commute, and the hot conditions as the day job, makes me feel like I'm melting by the time I get home and get in the shower.
Oh man, that shower is going to feel SO GOOD!
So yeah, my energy level is a bit low right now, and I just didn't feel like sitting down at the desk and work on the Weekly Update most of this week. Still, if I wait until tomorrow, it'll be even hotter. So I'm risking shorting my computer by bathing it with sweat to get the update out.
And I think you're gonna like it, as I've got lots of ways for you to beat the heat in the coming week. Lots of great movies, as well as few live events, allowing you some time in a nice, air conditioned building.
And don't forget to check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar if you want to plan out your summer events, or even later in the year. I'm a bit behind on that as well, so expect some more events being added in the coming week.
Well, I want to get this out, so I'm signing off. Take care, stay hydrated, and I'll be back next week with more great events happening under The Shadow Over Portland!
