The revenge film
Thelma, which opens tonight at

Hollywood Theatre (4122 NE Sandy Blvd in Portland, OR; scheduled through Wednesday, July 3), is the story of a elderly woman conned by a phone scammer and heads out to take revenge. The film features the final performance of Richard Roundtree (
Shaft), and Oscar nominee June Squibb in her first feature role. According to Cinema 21, she performed most of her own stunts at 94 years old. How could I not list this film, as it doesn't matter how difficult the stunts were, she damn well did them when she was 94 FREAKING YEARS OLD! Good for you, June!! The Shadow Over Portland salutes you.
