If you want to avoid the Mardi Gras crowd, you might find something in this edition of the Weekly Update.

I can't believe the headline, but it's TRUE!  I mean, you'll find some films playing this week, but Tuesday is the only day were no special events are happening.  NOTHING!  Maybe it was just a coincidence, or maybe no one wanted to compete against Fat Tuesday parties.  Regardless, your only option to avoid the crowds seems to be in a movie theater this year.

I love having the theater to myself.  Strange that everyone left when I walked in...

But that doesn't mean the rest of the week isn't loaded with great movies and live stage events.  Just take a look below, and you'll find an interactive murder mystery, music, ballet and MORE!

While you're here, check out the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar for a look at what's coming in 2022.  You'll find details on the Kaiju Comic Show 3 in Portland, OR, the 10th Annual Oregon Ghost Conference in Seaside, OR, the Mermaid Festival at the International Mermaid Museum in Aberdeen, WA, and, as always, MUCH MORE!  I've got a lot more to add, so check back next week for more movies, events and a list of local theaters showing The Batman.  After all, why give a multiplex money when you can buy a ticket from a local theater!

If you like the site and are interested in making a donation, please visit my Ko-fi page.  Thank you.

Stay safe, stay healthy and I'll be back next week with more great events happening under The Shadow Over Portland.
