The weather might be getting colder, but February still has some great Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events to keep Pacific Northwest fans warm!

The weather's been pretty warm around the area, but don't put away your winter coat yet.  The temperature will be dropping next week and, as always, the media is dangling the possibility of snow in the forecast.  Don't get caught out in the cold unprepared!

Okay, the chance of snow is VERY slim, but how could I not find a way to use this scene.

But the dropping temperature doesn't mean you won't find lots of great Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy events to keep you warm.  This edition of the Weekly Update is full of great movies to check out, as well as a vampire ballet and an interactive murder mystery!  For such a short month, February has been full of great things for Pacific Northwest fans to enjoy!!

But I've got lots more to share over at the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar.  Sure, I'll be making a list of local theaters showing The Batman (because who isn't going to see that film), but I'll be adding the list of John Carpenter films coming next month to The Grand Illusion theater in Seattle, a guest update from Crypticon Seattle, details on the egg hunt/screening of Critters 2 (with Mick Garris in attendance) at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, and MUCH MORE!  I work on updating the calendar every few days, so be sure to keep checking back!!

I'll be back next week with more of the great things happening under The Shadow Over Portland.  Until then, stay safe, wear a mask and let's make sure this Halloween is the best since 2018!
