I want to start by thanking everyone for their kind words about the passing of my father. So many of you posted on Facebook after I posted about him on my site, it was very touching. Again, thank you everyone.
As for the Weekly Update, May is ending with a bang! We have two cons this weekend (and maybe a third next week, but I doubt Star Trek Mission Seattle is a go; you'll find details below), The Beacon in Seattle is hosting a three day Memorial Day Weekend Rip-Off Rampage, while at the same time, the Hollywood Theatre in Portland is screening some classic 80s sci fi/action flicks. And Satanic Panic returns to the Hollywood Theatre on the last day of May with a screening of The Devil's Rain in GLORIOUS 35mm, along with some other treats!
I have conjured up a devilish good ten days for Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans!
And let's not forget the end of Pagan May at the Clinton Street Theater in Portland, the start of the BECU Drive-In Movies at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA, and Fathom Events bringing the director's cut of Star Trek: The Motion Picture to the big screen! Yep, this month is ending on a high note.
But the rest of the summer is looking pretty awesome as well. You'll find all the details at the Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Calendar, including more outdoor movies, cons, stage shows and SO MUCH MORE! Click on the link to take a look, but keep checking back, as I update the page every few days, and I'll have details about EVEN MORE outdoor flicks, where to go see David Cronenberg's new film, Crimes of the Future, and anything else I can find that will thrill Pacific Northwest Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy Fans.
That's all I have for now. Until next week, stay safe and I'll be back with more great events happening under The Shadow Over Portland!
If you'd like to help support the site, please visit my Ko-fi page. Thank you!
